MINDFULLNES OF THE BODY
A workshop with Elizabeth Welsh
The ancient yogis described a quality of attention in the body, called “pratyahara”, or mindfulness of the body.
This morning we will emphasize reconnecting to our body’s innate wisdom, through mindfully moving the body.
We’ll take some time to become familiar with the philosophy that supports our physical practice. We’ll begin with the gentle gliding movements of the SATYA practice, weaving in mindful hatha yoga, and finally ending with the still and quiet postures of Yin Yoga. There will also be time to sit, becoming quiet and still and simply listen.
